Rhode
Island LAN Center Rules
Rhode Island
LAN Center Rules:
Our gaming atmosphere has a mix of both
genre, gender and ages. We ask that all players present themselves
appropriately. We're all here to have fun, this is the rule!
- Racism, discrimination, sexual harassment
of any kind will not be tolerated anywhere inside Rhode Island
LAN Center (RILC). Be it verbal or written, on the website, server,
or any service provided by RILC. There's no excuse for it.
- Respect other players. This, is required.
Unwarrantedly accusing other players of cheating, excess whining
about b.s. shots and the like are looked down upon. Try to treat
your fellow gamers as you would like to be treated yourself. Take
fights outside the network, along with your bad attitude.
- You are responsible for any damages incurred
on RILC property.
- No, you missed, they killed you, get
over it.
- Under 18 require parental consent.
Game
Server Rules:
To keep the gaming experience great, we
must include some general gameplay rules to ensure all players enjoy
their gaming with us. These simple, common sense rules are:
- Racism, discrimination, sexual harassment
of any kind will not be tolerated anywhere inside the Rhode Island
LAN Center (RILC) network. Be it verbal or written, on the website,
server, or any service provided by RILC. There's no excuse for
it.
- Respect other players. This, is required.
Unwarrantedly accusing other players of cheating, excess whining
about b.s. shots and the like are looked down upon. Try to treat
your fellow gamers as you would like to be treated yourself. Take
fights outside the network, along with your bad attitude.
- Cheating in any way, shape and form,
in all the broadness, is NOT TOLERATED. This includes but is not
limited to installing hacks or abusing known exploits in the game
for any reason whatsoever. The game was designed to be played a
certain way, this is how we play.
- Possibly the most unusual rule, HAVE
FUN! RILC is geared around interactivity. Jump in the
forums and chat with everyone on irc.gamesnet.net #rilancenter.
Talk to the locals in our CS server at cs1.rigamers.com:27015.
You might find the same value we did. It's more fun when you
KNOW who you own!
Should you violate a rule (respective of
offense):
- You will be warned. Most players respect
that they're doing something against the good of gameplay and leave
it at that. When you break rules 1 or 2, you will be warned about
what you're doing and asked to stop. We have bad days just like
everyone else. So do us a favor and just stop doing whatever you're
warned not to do and enjoy the game.
- Still doing it after being warned? This
time you're publicly warned, and booted from the server. Most players
realize we're serious about our rules and decide not to come back.
- Should a player return again after being
publicly warned, and kicked, and still continues to disrupt gameplay,
this player is now banned until a determinable period is over.
Depending on the offense, you can then be banned for 1 minute,
up to banned indefinitely. Perm bans are decided upon by the RILC
staff and network admins. No player will be permanently banned
without the consent of the staff admins. This will ensure every
player gets a fair chance.
Cheaters are banned on the spot with disclosed
evidence from the banning admin. This can be in the form of logs
with verified accusations of multiple people, detailed screenshots
of the offense in action, or game demos of the offending players
cheating. Cheaters will be banned permanently.
These rules are subject to change without
notice. Our rules will always be in line with the spirit of the game.
The rules are broad on the basis that RILC will host a range of gaming
servers, on a range of games. The rules are simple, and apply universally.
Occurrences of actions that deem admin intervention that are not
outlined in these rules will be dealt with on the fly. |
