The Devotional

What does Papa “J” Say?

Parental wisdom, training and nurturing are essential for a nations integrity, economy and prosperity. If the foundation of marriage and family fails national socialism will take over. Proverbs 4:3-13

Fourscore and seven years ago, our fathers brought forth on this continent a new nation, conceived in liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal” Abraham Lincoln.

Over a few short years this devotional has taken a few changes. Sort of just running my pencil until my mouth ran dry to where things are today. It is time for another change. Are we a nation of the people, by the people and for the people as Mr. Lincoln would also say. Do any of us below the age of fifty even know the definition of the word “democracy” or take this one step further, do people of this nation even care? You know the answer, right now it is bouncing around in your heart, expecting you to open the door and let it out. So what are you waiting for?

A government by the people, the rule of the majority where supreme power is held by the people. When is the last time you felt that you had some power to effect your pursuit of life, liberty and happiness? In the days to come and until Jesus redirects my path, this devotional will be one that calls us to prayer. Prayer for a nation to rebuild on real democratic foundations of people who pray to Almighty God for national repentance. This is a call for a revolution to restore life, liberty and happiness and to rid the nation of the pestilence of crime and socialistic plans in our high places of governmental rule.

Gospel of John

John 10:11-18 Do you know this personal call of Jesus, He plainly says that He is the Good Shepherd who gives and maintains life to His sheep. Do you have this “abundant life” that He spoke of earlier in verse 10? Or have you allowed the thief to steal this good news about the good shepherd from you? Is your life full of doubt and pretense? Do you find your thoughts about The Jesus of the bible being scattered by the religious views of contemporary theologies of today's new agers?

If you have no assurance of Jesus in your heart then dig a little deeper into the words of the Word of God. Let Jesus speak peace, promise and purpose into your life. Peaceful Words like; “I lay down my life for the sheep” Promising words like; “I know my sheep and they know Me” Words of purpose and eternal life: “Therefore My Father loves Me, because I lay down My life that I may pick it up again”

Jesus that points the world to everlasting life. The Bible and the secular history of His Life on earth do not lie. Acts 4:10-12 agrees with John 10:18. Josephus a secular Jew also writes of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ sets the date as of His death as April third and His resurrection as April fifth. You have the freewill to believe in Jesus as the Good Shepherd or allow the wolf to scatter you off. Book 18, chapter 3 of his writings.
