The Devotional

What does Papa “J” Say?

One thing I did well as a young boy. I listened to my dad, his instructions were followed. As a result I was just like him. Oh how I wish we were men of good doctrine! Proverbs 4:1-2

We on this continent should never forget that men first crossed the Atlantic not to find soil for their ploughs but to secure liberty for their souls.” Robert J. McCracken

Happy Independence Day men and women. Yesterday we as a family did what John Adams recommended. Observed our independence, sang the National Anthem, visited the local baseball field, watch out team lose and also watched the fireworks display. During the display we heard the Marching hymns of all our branches of the service and the Battle Hymn of the Republic. I am sure that over the next few days these same events will be witnessed by millions of people in our nation. I would like to say Great Nation and even though I believe that our nation is GREAT, I cannot bring that word safely to this paper with a clear conscious knowing that we are failing.

Tell me: Is it paradoxical to KILL BABIES and call it legal abortion. I would rather stand before God and be judged “ridiculous or ironic” than to be judged a “murderer” In 2 Chronicles 33:1-25 we read of the life of Manasseh, king of Judah. The scriptures states that he did evil in the sight of God. One of the things he did was to allow children to be sacrificed to the gods. He consulted mediums and spiritualists, he practiced witchcraft and sorcery. He worshiped the hosts of heaven but not God. Thus he provoked God. The scripture here says that Manasseh seduced Judah. Today the United States of America is seduced by smooth talking leaders, by the liberal media and by false religions. Manasseh's tour of leadership parallels the leadership of the day in which we live. Read the first nine verses here. Read it and weep! Altars of Baal are popping up all over this country and we accept this abomination as a normal freedom of worship, yet this goes beyond the founding fathers intended freedoms of worship.

What is again so ironic is that the times have not changed. The armies of Satan are at the door of our life, our liberty and our pursuit of happiness and we the people open the door and say. “OH! That's nice, come on in, built your altars of Baal, here is my son or daughter. Slaughter them to your gods, cripple our way of life with your witchcraft and sorcery. So bound up in this is our national focus is that we have lost sight of our National Heritage of Independence these days. We have become dependent! Dependent upon a socialistic government of liberal law that permits abortion, same sex marriage and allows the laws and statutes of this land to change the face of the American way of life.

But, here me – There is HOPE, someone in Judah in those days was on their knees praying for Manasseh to repent. The prayer was answered. Then Manasseh prayed to the LORD and knew that the LORD is God. Pray America! Pray America! Pray America and God may even use the Manasseh of our day to heal the nation! We cannot purchase peace, we must pray for it!
